We’ve moved! On August 20, 2012 we relocated to expanded research and clinical facilities at the historic 25 Van Ness Avenue building as part of the San Francisco Office and Renovation (SOAR) project. The renovation project is being funded by the National Center for Research Resources at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment of 2009.
We will remain at our current address; however, we are relocating to a newly renovated first floor. Our new and improved research clinic adds 8,000 square feet of new space to our clinic and renovates 9,000 square feet of existing space. As part of the renovation, there will be new examination rooms, counseling and physician offices, and additional research space.
“The expansion of our facilities will help us advance our research,” says Dr. Susan Buchbinder, Director of Bridge HIV and SOAR Scientific Lead Advisor. “This is an important step towards increasing our capacity to support large, diverse groups of study participants. The renovation of our facilities will allow us to lead the development of strategies to prevent HIV infection and disease progression, while serving the needs of Bay Area communities.”
